Originally from South Korea, Seam moved to Berlin, Germany in 2017 to work in her own workshop.
In Germany, "tableware" generally consists of hard, shiny vessels.
Moving away from this, she continues to create pieces that show the texture of the "clay" itself, using black clay and minimal glazes.
She uses German stoneware clay and tries to keep the weight to a minimum in contrast to the dark and rough image of her own works.

한국 출신인 심 작가는 2017년 독일 베를린으로 이주해 자신의 공방에서 일하고 있습니다.
독일에서 '식기'는 일반적으로 단단하고 반짝이는 그릇으로 구성됩니다.
이러한 경향에서 벗어나 검은색 점토와 최소한의 유약을 사용해 '점토' 자체의 질감을 살린 작품을 제작하고 있습니다.
독일산 석기용 점토를 사용하며, 어둡고 거친 작품의 이미지와는 대조적으로 무게감을 최소화하려고 노력합니다.
